Setting Up Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

 
Once Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is enabled, you will be required to enter a 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app when you sign in to your Prequal account, either each time or based on the number of days specified by your administrator.

This code is in addition to your username and password, adding an extra layer of security.
 

Step 1 - Download the Authenticator App

Download and install an authenticator app on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Some popular options include:

Step 2 - Scan the QR Code

Open the authenticator app and use your device’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
 

Can’t scan the QR code?

No problem! Select the Enter code manually link to view the time-based key. Then, manually create an account in your authenticator app using the provided time-based key and a user name of your choice.
 

Step 3 - Enter the Verification Code

After scanning the QR code, your app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
Enter this 6-digit code in the Verification Code field on the screen, then select Verify to complete the setup.
